In 1951, Robert Keene and John Chelberg left secure jobs with a Minneapolis printing firm to pursue a dream. Ackerman Printing in Saint Paul was for sale. With only two employees and minimal equipment, Bob and John purchased what would become the foundation of a multi-million dollar operation known today as The John Roberts Company.
Initially the pair wore "all of the hats" and built a solid reputation for customer service and quality work. The company grew steadily. In 1974, more than 100 John Roberts employees moved into a beautiful new facility just fifteen minutes north of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company has expanded its operations multiple times over the years and now works out of a 226,000 square foot facility.
Today, the John Roberts Company continues to enjoy a reputation for high-quality commercial printing, and is recognized by the industry as a premier printing facility.
