Account Manager

HM Graphics located in Milwaukee Wisconsin is looking for an experienced Account Manager.

The position oversees and manages customer projects for the Company. They follow each job after the Account Executive sells it to the client and guide it through the production workflow leading up to final product delivery. Another aspect of the role is to help connect each department of the Company, accurately communicating with them to ensure all job requirements are achieved, and that final product quality exceeds expectations. Account Managers works closely with clients and the Sales Department, making this role critical for monitoring and improving the Company’s ongoing quality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to each client, communicating with them about various aspects of each job in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain existing customer relationships and work to create new customer relationships.
  • When appropriate, advise customers on best strategies to achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Use multiple software programs to enter, modify, and track customer jobs.
  • Examine estimates for accurateness and completeness, communicating any errors to the Sales and Estimating Departments, and working to resolve errors before continuing.
  • Create job tickets from estimates, including detailed notes and information about the requirements of each job.
  • Monitor production status of all jobs daily, communicating with Director of Client Services.
  • Review art proofs for each job for accurateness. Send out proofs to customers for their review and submit approved proofs to Production.
  • Work with the Plant Manager, Finishing Manager, and other members of the Production Team as needed to answer any questions they have, clarify technical specifications, and communicate the requirements of each job.
  • Act on behalf of the client in all activities, notifying Sales Executive and Director of Client Services as needed of any customer complaints, quality concerns, or other problems that may arise.
  • Handle changes in job specifications by creating alterations for jobs, working closely with the Account Executive to determine chargeable and non-chargeable costs.
  • Communicate any job changes to the Account Executive and customer as needed.
  • Make the final decision as to whether a particular job meets client and Company expectations. Has authority to rerun the job if expectations are not met and has authority to stop production if needed.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - interacts with various people in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Foster strong working relationships between various departments of the Company.
  • Continuously learn and communicate with others about graphic communication, including but not limited to; printing processes, paper options, and product specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Complete time-sensitive tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Interpret information in mathematical, written and diagram form.
  • Use arithmetic to perform systems administration duties, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting accurate information.
  • Adept with using a computer and has experience in the Microsoft Office suite of software, including Excel.
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Make sound decisions and resolve problems using facts, experience, problem solving tools and personal judgment.
  • Negotiation skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Work on various projects simultaneously and adapt to constantly changing situations.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years printing, sales or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of printing services and sales
  • Self-motivation
  • Customer-first attitude
