We intend to involve our employees, our suppliers, and our customers in the principle that conducting business at the expense of the environment around us is simply unacceptable. Sustainable Green Printer
The John Roberts Company is the first commercial printer to be verified as a Sustainable Green Printer (SGP). The mission of the SGP Partnership is to encourage and promote participation in the worldwide movement to reduce the environmental impact and increase social responsibility through sustainable green printing practices.
Forest Stewardship Council®
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) is an organization devoted to encouraging the responsible management of the world's forests. At John Roberts, participating in this and other certification programs reinforces our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Printed with Soy Ink
John Roberts' in-house ink supplier, Ink Systems, Inc., manufactures a soy-based ink using a mixture of vegetable oils.
Green Power Partnership
The EPA Green Power Partnership is an alliance between the EPA and companies throughout the country that support the procurement of green power (wind, water, etc.) with the EPA offering technical tools and resource.
Climate Leadership
The EPA Climate Leaders program is a partnership to help develop strategies that will identify each organization's impact on the environment and then develop a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Minnesota Waste Wise
Minnesota Waste Wise was created in 1994 as the result of a partnership between the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and the state of Minnesota's Office of Environmental Assistance. It is a program that provides confidential, non-regulatory waste reduction and recycling services to Minnesota businesses.
Recycled Ink
At John Roberts we are committed to recycling 100% of all re-usable ink. We recycle/reuse our web process inks to reformulate black ink which contains a minimum of 50% recycled ink.
Wind Energy
Used by customers who request that the pieces be printed using wind power.
