Job Description

The Digital Press Operator is responsible for operating and troubleshooting HP Indigo presses (Series 3 and Series 4) as well as color toner devices to meet daily production and quality goals in a safe and efficient manner. This role will work with variable data printing, PHI, and secure mail.

Essential Duties

Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• RIP static / variable PDF files and set up press runs per the job ticket using Digital Press Front End.
• Collaborate with the prepress and finishing teams to meet production deadlines.
• Perform typical press operations, including press checks, calibrations, stock loading, ink system monitoring and maintenance.
• Understand and adjust color as needed to match customer approved proofs.
• Review all proofs and final product samples produced on digital equipment before releasing them to internal or external clients.
• Perform standard checks and processes to ensure quality expectations are met.
• Conduct regular and special maintenance on equipment to achieve maximum machine performance in line with equipment specifications.
• Troubleshoot press issues (quality and run ability).
• Record maintenance and service calls in the i098maintenance logbook as required.
• Maintain and uphold a clean work area.

Job Requirements

• Familiar with digital printing processes and presses.
• Good mechanical skills and a problem-solver.
• Can work independently and stay focused.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Able to read and follow job tickets and quality specs.
• Comfortable using computers and working with machines.
• Works well under pressure and in a team.
• HP Indigo certification is a plus.
• Toner or inkjet experience is a plus.

Pay Range: $25- $30/hr
