Job Description

The Entry-Level Electrical Technician helps support the safe and efficient operation of printing and finishing equipment by assisting with basic electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This hands-on role is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in a manufacturing setting.

Essential Duties

Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on production machines.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues (e.g., faulty wiring, fuses, switches, sensors).
• Replace or repair light fixtures, outlets, relays, and small electrical parts.
• Support machine upgrades, relocations, and equipment setups involving power connections.
• Perform routine inspections on motors, wiring, control panels, and safety systems.
• Help maintain tools, electrical panels, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and keep accurate records of work completed.
• Stay open to training and on-the-job learning of PLCs, drives, and control systems

Job Requirements

• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (motors, wiring, panels, sensors).
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment (e.g., multimeter).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willing to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience (industrial or printing environment is a plus).
• Interest in learning more about PLCs, drives, and machine control systems.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and eager to develop technical skills.

Pay Range: $24- $30/hr
