Job Description

Mailing Assembly Helpers support operations of the Mailing Department when addressing and personalizing brochures, catalogs, books, mailers, flyers, etc. They also work as a bindery helper when the mailing area has limited work.

Essential Duties

Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Assist Mailing Operators in troubleshooting issues and maintaining equipment.
• Conduct frequent product inspections to ensure compliance with customer quality standards, identifying and reporting defects promptly.
• Read the “Presort” or qualification report, bundle up the product correctly, and place the correct tags on containers.
• Ensure neat and orderly shingling of mail pieces by adjusting conveyor belts as needed.
• Stack containers on a skid and keep track of total container count.
• Move product around using a pallet jack or power dolly, transfer materials to different locations as needed.
• Clean and maintain assigned machine to ensure its optimum operation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, promoting a hazard-free and organized work environment.
• Support special projects and perform related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Use hand tools or machines needed to perform operations appropriately and safely.
• Follow directions of Mailing Operators, meeting customer specifications and requirements from the job ticket.
• Measure, cut or otherwise work on materials or objects with great precision and accuracy.
• Make sound decisions and resolve problems using facts, experience, problem-solving tools, and personal judgment.

Pay: $20/hour
