Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing and shipping products, receiving incoming deliveries, and transferring materials to production or inventory. This role ensures accurate documentation, safe handling of products, and timely movement of materials while representing John Roberts in a professional and positive manner.

Essential Duties

• Prepare and verify shipments using internal systems and vendor portals.
• Unload and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy.
• Affix shipping labels, secure loads, and maintain shipping materials.
• Deliver materials to production, end users, or inventory.
• Track shipments and schedule carrier pickups.
• Support inventory control and maintain accurate records.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory procedures.
• Complete and maintain forklift certification.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with shipping software and ERP systems.
• Ability to read job tickets, diagrams, and instructions, and perform basic math calculations.
• Make sound decisions and resolve problems using facts and judgment

Pay Range: $20 - $25/hr
