Sheetfed First Press Operator

John Roberts is a premier full service commercial printing company looking to add an experienced Sheetfed Press Operator to run our newest state of the art Heidelberg XL106 printing press.

This position is a 12 hour night position and hours are 6pm to 6am, 3 nights one week and 4 nights the following week.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Make ready and operate 40" Heidelberg sheetfed press.
• Make adjustments to maintain specific registration, color, density and hue during runs.
• Daily reporting of performance, quality and other actions related to printing process.
• Monitor make ready, maintenance and down time for optimal efficiency.
• Mechanically inclined to perform maintenance/troubleshooting on equipment;
• Actively support ISO program

Education & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 -7 years' experience operating 40" multi-unit Heidelberg presses; XL 105 or 106 experience desired.
• Working knowledge with UV inks and coatings is desired.
• Good color acuity.
